So last Sunday I went to 2 events – something that doesn’t happen often! I went to a FREE outdoors dancing event where Trio Manouche was playing live. Then, I went to Super Swing Pit where The Cable Street Ragtime Band played live.
First of all, I must complain. Not about traffic though, about parking … We got to central London and I couldn’t find a spot to park … well it’s Central London … it kinda … figures. Then we went to Super Swing Pit venue, parked there, took the tube and got to the place. Therefore, we made it to the last set.
Now that you know that I made it to the last set, I must say that Trio Manouche is a really really good band! I mean, awesome tempo, nice vocals, lovely atmosphere. There were maybe 6 couples dancing. There were many non-dancers watching and filming and cheering.
Then we had lunch and we went to the Super Swing Pit. It was amazing. It has been a while since I had such a lovely time in London. The band was super. It was the second time I heard this band – first time – Jamboree and it was a bloody long time ago. Last Sunday, they were amazing once again. Their tempo is just perfect. They had one naughty song of around 15 minutes and yes, I danced to it! It started with great tempo and then it became mega fast, so I was dancing to every other beat. Then it got slower and faster and slower again. It was brilliant. I must admit that sound system was not that good in the beginning. Many friends of mine complained about not being able to hear the beat but after the first set of band, it all became awesome. They probably fixed it or something. DJ music was also fantastic. I can’t remember the last time I was dancing for so many songs until my legs stopped functioning. I do get tired but not so tired to leave my legs behind … ;D
I realise that there were dozens of friends of mine who went to Swing Crash in Italy and I will be going there next year for sure.
And as always, a selfie 😀
