Hello all, today is Sunday and here I am in Leeds. This post is not going to be about Swing Revolutions. I am not going to blog about it tomorrow either. I will blog about Swing Revolution on Tuesday as I will be really exhausted tomorrow after driving 200 miles after so much dancing.
I know I was supposed to blog about this on Friday as I went to this lovely event on Thursday night. However, I was too busy on Friday. I was stuck in traffic and you know how much it sucks! I drove to Leeds and then when I arrived to my destination, I had no spare time but to go to Swing Revolution’s Friday socials.
Anyway, last Thursday, I went to East Side Stomp’s event where they were celebrating 89th birthday of Savoy Ballroom. I have never been to any East Side Stomp’s event so it was interesting to check it out. It was lovely, around 30-40 of dancers turned up … I had a lovely time among new and old friends.I can imagine what it is going to be next year when we celebrate 90th brithday … it’s kind of … jubilee. But wait, 11 years from now? It should be MASSIVE! There were so many good dancers I never met before!
Anyway, the floor was lovely, DJing was amazing. We had some groovy stuff as well, not just lindy hop. I also planned to come to CTRL + ALT + Dance movie premier but I couldn’t make it as I was busy packing and working. We had a cake for celebration. It was chocolate, my favourite. We also had shim sham. We were supposed to dance until 1 AM but we danced until 12, it was enough for me.
Anyway, it was really good and people missed out on such great event. If it turned into weekly event, I would be very frequent attendee!
And as always, shameless selfie with amazing people!
